Levy Solomon, our new Kumamoto publicity chair, is doing a benefit yoga class. She is an English teacher at Sojo University as well as a yoga instructor and a cat owner, and she has found a way to combine all three loves by teaching a benefit yoga class for the Kagonyan Cat Cafe. Here are the details:

Date: Sunday February 22nd
Time: 10:30-11:30
Cost: 1000 yen (or more) donation
Bring: a yoga mat and comfortable clothes
Place: Kagonyan Cat Cafe in Kamitori
From the end of the arcade, go one more block and turn left. The Kagonyan Cat Cafe is on the second floor of the building directly across from the 24h Times Parking lot.

Feed your body and your soul. The Kagonyan Cat Shelter needs your help. Taking this yoga class is a great way to start. All profits will be donated to the lovely Kagonyan Cat Shelter which houses and cares for kitties with the hope of finding them a permanent home. I adopted my cat, Hokke, from them. They neutered him, kept him healthy and even gave him eye surgery. Stay for an hour of yoga, play with some kitties, and maybe even have lunch at this cat cafe afterward! Please go to this yoga class taught in English. All profits will be donated to the Kagonyan Cat Shelter. For more information about Kagonyan, check it out on Facebook:

Don't worry about your level of yoga. I'll offer plenty of modifications. Yoga is not about touching your toes. It's about what you learn in the way down.
