posted Apr 7, 2015, 6:03 AM by NanKyu JALT   [ updated Apr 24, 2015, 5:07 AM ]
HomeOn 4 April, Oita JALT is doing a pechakucha. A pechakucha is where presenters show a series of 20 slides for 20 seconds each, for a fun and fast-paced delivery with a chance for Q&A afterwards. More details on the PechaKucha format can be found at http://www.pechakucha.org/faq

If you are interested in presenting, please contact Michael Hofmeyr at <mhofmeyr@apu.ac.jp> by the end of February with the following information
  • your name and affiliation and a short bio
  • title
  • brief description of your topic
The meeting will be at Holt Hall in Oita-shi (2 minutes' walk from Oita Station)

Presentations on any topic, whether it be light-hearted or more academic are welcome. The only restriction is that it should be somehow related to language teaching and conform to the PechaKucha format of 20x20. This will be a good opportunity to present practical ideas for classroom activities as well as for bouncing ideas for future research off other JALT members.
